Further information

Built in 1924 in the Art Deco style, it served as a place of worship for the Evangelical Methodist parish until it was sold in 2010 to the architect Cornelius Morscher to finance the renovation of the Sion Chapel in Bern’s Old Town. He had the building converted in 2014 into a block of flats comprising three flats and moved into the ground-floor flat with his family. Traces of the structural renovation work carried out in the 1970s had to be removed during the conversion of the chapel into a residential property. Remnants of its former sacred function, such as the cross on the roof and the inscription, were deliberately left in their original locations by Cornelius Morscher.
