Built in 1906, the Inselhof Chapel of the Evangelical Methodist parish of Zelthof blends perfectly into the neighbourhood thanks to its architecture, typical of Free Church places of worship, with its decorative bell tower. In 1999, the church was converted into a restaurant and now houses the ‘blindekuh’, where customers are served in total darkness by staff who are severely visually impaired. It was the blind pastor Jürg Spielmann who was behind the creation of this restaurant in the former chapel. Only the stained-glass windows in the large hall on the ground floor, created by Ernst Oehrli, now serve as a reminder of the religious function the building once fulfilled the building.
